Birthdays, Team Building and School Trips in Lebanon’s Pines 🎉
Team building, school trips and outdoor birthdays in Lebanon at Horizon Pines, an event venue in Akkar for 20–120 people with fire pits and a covered meal area.
An Outdoor Event Venue in Akkar: What We Can Offer a Group
A quick disclosure: we run Horizon Pines, a glamping and camping site in Kobayat, Akkar, so this is us describing our own site as an event venue. We host private events, family celebrations and birthdays, corporate and wellness retreats, scout, school and youth gatherings, and more. This post covers three of the most common: birthdays, team building and school trips.
Here is what the site offers a group. Horizon Pines was built inside existing pine forest at about 1,100 metres, with stone terraces, open gathering areas and fire pits under the pine canopy. It is about two hours from Beirut and about 30 minutes from Tripoli. The last stretch of road is a little rough, but an ordinary car manages it, and a full-size coach can reach the site. The property is gated, with free parking inside the grounds.
Capacity and facilities. Our group camping area takes 20 to 120 people and has 2 bathrooms and 4 showers. Exclusive bookings for a single group are possible. Across the site there are BBQ stations, a shared kitchen area and a covered meal area that doubles as a shelter. There is 24-hour solar electricity for lighting and charging and good 4G coverage, but no Wi-Fi.
Safety. There is first aid on site, and the nearest hospital is 1 km away.
Beds as well as tents. Groups can mix camping with our yurts and Lotus Belle tents for the people who want a bed, and we put together custom group accommodation packages.

Birthdays, Team Building and School Trips in Lebanon
Birthdays and family celebrations. An outdoor birthday venue in Lebanon only works if there is room for the children to run and somewhere for the adults to sit. Here the children have space under the trees and a playground, and the adults have the stone terraces and the fire pits. We offer family activities for children, including nature workshops, treasure hunts and outdoor games. Families can book a mix of camping pitches, Lotus Belle tents and a yurt so grandparents get a bathroom inside and the cousins get a tent. For more ideas, see our family camping guide.
Team building and corporate retreats. For team building in Lebanon, the attraction is getting people out of the office and into a setting where they talk to each other. A corporate retreat here means open gathering areas for sessions, meals together in the covered area, and evenings around a fire. There is no Wi-Fi, which makes it easier to put laptops away; mobile 4G is good if anyone genuinely needs to be reachable. We do not run team-building activities ourselves yet, so bring your own facilitator or programme; we provide the setting. We also host wellness retreats.
School and youth trips. For a school trip in Lebanon, teachers will want to know about safety and supervision, so here are the facts. The site is gated, first aid is on site, and the hospital is 1 km away. An exclusive booking means your group has the site to itself. The group area has 2 bathrooms and 4 showers, and the forest paths around the site are the easiest walking. Nature workshops, treasure hunts and outdoor games can be part of the programme. We do not offer school day visits yet, so school trips are overnight stays. Scout leaders will find more detail in our scout camping guide.

How to Plan Your Event and Enquire
Every event is different, and availability and layout depend on the season, your group size and how many people need beds. So we do not publish event packages or event prices. The simplest way to plan is to message us on WhatsApp with the details below and we will come back with what is possible.
What to send us. Your preferred dates and a backup, the number of people (adults and children), whether you are staying overnight, how many people want a bed rather than a tent, whether you would like an exclusive booking, and what kind of event it is.
What we know about cost. Group camping starts from $10 per guest per night, and groups can ask about a negotiated rate. Yurts are $120 per night for stays of two nights or more ($150 for one night) and Lotus Belle tents are $60 per night. Anything beyond that we price when you enquire.
Food. Guests bring and cook their own food, using the BBQ stations, fire pits and shared kitchen area, and most groups shop before arriving. We do not cater events ourselves, but we can give you the contacts of local caterers, or your group can self-cater.
Season. We are open in spring, summer and autumn, roughly April to October. We are closed in winter, so plan events within those months.
House rules. Quiet time starts at 11:30 PM, with no music after that, which is worth building into a birthday or a retreat programme. Smoking and alcohol are allowed, but please be considerate: smoke outdoors, away from tents, and take care with anything lit in a dry pine forest. Bring drinking water, because the tap water is not drinkable, and a warm layer for the evenings.
Booking terms. A 50% deposit reserves the date, and cancellations are accepted at least 7 days before arrival. We accept cash, OMT, Whish, PayPal and Wise, and all rates are in US dollars.
