Where to Stay in Kobayat and Akkar: Chalets, Hotels and Glamping
Where to stay in Kobayat and Akkar: what chalets, hotels, bungalows and glamping usually offer, plus our own yurts, tents and prices, and practical tips.

Glamping is camping without the camping gear. You arrive to a tent that is already pitched and furnished — real beds, proper bedding and lighting — so you get a night under the pines without carrying, pitching or packing anything. At Horizon Pines that means either a Lotus Belle tent or a Premium Yurt.
A yurt is a spacious round tent with solid insulated walls and a high domed roof, so it feels like a room rather than a tent. Ours have a double bed plus a sofa that converts to a second double, a private bathroom, a kitchenette with a fridge, a ceiling fan, six large windows and a terrace, and sleep 4 adults — or up to 6 when two of the guests are children.
Camping is $10 per guest per night with your own tent, or $15 per guest per night if you would like us to provide the tent and mattress. A Lotus Belle tent is $60 per tent per night. A Premium Yurt is $120 per yurt per night for stays of two nights or more, or $150 for a single night.
No. A single night is welcome. The only thing that changes with length of stay is the yurt rate, which is lower from the second night onwards.
You can book by contacting us directly via WhatsApp or phone. We recommend booking early for summer and holiday seasons, as our glamping units in Kobayat fill quickly.
We accept cash, OMT, Whish, PayPal and Wise. All rates are in US dollars.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your stay. Cancellations are accepted at least 7 days before your arrival date.
Horizon Pines is in Kobayat (Qoubaiyat) in Akkar, North Lebanon — about 2 hours from Beirut and 30 minutes from Tripoli. We are just below Mar Gerges Chwita. The GPS coordinates are 34.5722764, 36.2540182, and the contact page has a map link that opens directions straight from where you are.
Yes. The last stretch of road is a little rough, but an ordinary car drives it without trouble — you do not need a 4x4. Just take it slowly.
Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and late arrivals are welcome until 10:00 PM. Check-out is at 11:00 AM, unless agreed otherwise. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, depending on availability. Additional charges may apply.
We recommend bringing comfortable outdoor clothing, comfortable shoes for walking in nature, a jacket for cooler evenings, swimwear if you plan to visit nearby water spots, and personal toiletries. While we provide bedding, you might want to bring extra blankets if you tend to get cold at night.
Yes, all guests have access to clean bathrooms and hot showers. Each Premium Yurt has its own private bathroom inside, and each Lotus Belle tent has its own private bathroom next door, with a toilet, hot shower and sink. Campers use the shared bathrooms and hot showers on site.
Less than you would expect. Kobayat sits high in the Akkar mountains, so the air is cooler than the coast and the evenings genuinely cool down. The yurts stand on an open, breezy rise with six large windows — open them and the air crosses straight through — and each yurt also has a ceiling fan. The insulated lining that keeps the yurts warm in spring and autumn also keeps the midday sun out.
Yes to both. Every yurt and tent has 24-hour solar-powered electricity for lighting and charging your devices, and there is reliable 4G coverage across the site. We do not offer Wi-Fi — the mobile signal is good enough that you will not miss it.
Absolutely — bring whatever you like. There are BBQ stations, fire pits and a shared kitchen area, so most guests shop before they arrive and cook on site.
Yes, we have a secure parking area near the entrance of our property. Parking is free for all guests during their stay.

Yes, pets are welcome at Horizon Pines. We just ask that you keep pets leashed in shared areas, clean up after them, and let us know in advance when booking so we can prepare your spot.
Both are allowed. We only ask that you are considerate of the families and groups sharing the forest with you, and that nothing becomes disruptive or unsafe. Please smoke outdoors and away from tents, and be careful with anything lit near dry ground.
Yes, Horizon Pines is ideal for groups and private events. Our large outdoor venue surrounded by nature is available now and is perfect for cocktails, weddings, team-building, and celebrations.
