The practical details for planning your school trip, scout camp, or team stay.
What does group camping cost?
The rate is $10 per person per night if you bring your own tents, or $15 per person per night with tents and mattresses provided. That $15 is the full price, not an extra charge on top. For one night, a group of 60 would budget $600 with its own tents, or $900 with ours, before any negotiated group discount. Larger groups can discuss a reduced rate with us.
How many bathrooms and showers are there, and is there drinking water?
The camping area has 2 bathrooms and 4 showers. Tap water is not suitable for drinking. Please bring drinking water for your group.
Can we cook, and is there cover for meals or rain?
Yes. Groups can cook in the kitchen, use the covered meal area, and shelter from wet weather. The site also has 24-hour solar electricity.
What is the minimum stay, and how do we book?
Stays start at one night. Send your dates, group size, and tent requirements for a quote. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your stay. Cancellations are accepted at least 7 days before your arrival date.
Can we book the site exclusively?
Yes, exclusive bookings for one group are available. Ask about availability and the price for your dates when requesting your quote.
What about first aid, mobile coverage, and the nearest hospital?
First aid is available on site, mobile coverage is very good, and the nearest hospital is 1 km away.
Are there quiet hours, and can we bring pets?
Quiet time starts at 11:30 PM, with no music after that, so please plan campfire songs and evening activities to finish by then. Pets are welcome, as long as they are not very noisy. Please mention any pets when you request your quote.
