Lotus Belle Tent in Lebanon: Couples Glamping in the Pines ⛺
Lotus Belle tents at Horizon Pines in Kobayat: a furnished glamping tent in Lebanon with a private porch, for couples or a small family. $60 per tent per night.
What a Lotus Belle Tent Is
A quick disclosure: we run Horizon Pines, a glamping and camping site in Kobayat (Qoubaiyat), Akkar, North Lebanon, and these are our own tents. Here is what a Lotus Belle tent in Lebanon looks like at our site, what it includes and what it does not.
A Lotus Belle is a round canvas glamping tent. It is a real tent, not a cabin: one circular room under a sloping canvas roof, held up by a centre pole, with soft light coming through the fabric during the day. The canvas is all-weather. It keeps the feeling of sleeping outdoors, which is the point, while giving you a furnished room to come back to at the end of the day.
Our tents are pitched among the pines at about 1,100 metres, in forest that was left standing when the site was built. Stone paths and terraces connect them to the rest of the grounds. Inside, the furnishing is boutique style with curated decor rather than camping gear, and the beds are made before you arrive, with bedding provided. There are two tents: Venus, with 2 single beds, and Mars, with 3 single beds. An extra mattress is free on request, and a double bed can be set up for couples. There is nothing to pitch, inflate or assemble.

Couples Glamping and Small Families: Who It Suits
A Lotus Belle sleeps 3 adults, or 4 when the fourth guest is a child under 10. In practice it suits two kinds of trip best.
Couples. For a romantic getaway in Lebanon, the size is the appeal: one room, your own porch facing the pines, a dark night sky that is good for stargazing, and quiet time from 11:30 PM. Couples glamping here is simple: arrive from 3:00 PM (as late as 10:00 PM is fine), sit out on the porch, cook at the fire pits or BBQ stations, and leave at 11:00 AM the next day. One night is welcome. Kobayat is about two hours from Beirut and about 30 minutes from Tripoli, so a single night is realistic, though two nights give you a full day in the forest. Our weekend from Beirut post sets out a two-night plan.
A small family. Two parents and one or two children fit, provided the fourth guest is under 10. There is a playground on site, and Lotus Belle guests are welcome to use it.
Some people come to us looking for a bungalow and ask how a Lotus Belle compares. The honest answer: a bungalow or hotel room gives you solid walls and a bathroom of your own; a Lotus Belle gives you canvas, the forest a few steps away and a lower price, with a private bathroom (toilet, hot shower and sink) next door to the tent. If you would rather have solid walls and the bathroom inside the unit, our yurts are the better fit: they have a private bathroom, a kitchenette and room for 4 adults. If you would rather pitch your own tent, family camping starts at $10 per guest per night.
Inside: single beds, wicker chairs and rugs, with a bunk bed in one tent and clear roof panels overhead.
Glamping Tent in Lebanon: What Is Shared, What to Bring
Yours for the stay: the tent, its private porch facing the pines, and a private bathroom next door with a toilet, hot shower and sink.
Shared with other guests: the kitchen area. There are also fire pits, BBQ stations and a covered meal area. The tents have no kitchen of their own, so expect a short walk to the shared one.
What to bring: drinking water, because the tap water is not drinkable; your own food, since guests cook for themselves and most do the main shop before the mountain road; and a warm layer, because nights here are cooler than on the coast. Bring your own towels too: bedding is provided in the Lotus Belle, but towels are not. Smaller businesses in the area are often cash-only, so carry some cash.
There is 24-hour solar electricity for lighting and charging, and good 4G coverage, but no Wi-Fi. Pets are welcome if they are not very noisy; mention them when you book.
Price and booking: $60 per tent per night, in US dollars. We are open in spring, summer and autumn, roughly April to October. Book directly on WhatsApp or by phone; a 50% deposit reserves the tent, and cancellations are accepted at least 7 days before arrival.
